CEO of Rafiki Mwema is joining the 'Trek for my Rafiki 2019' in New Zealand!
For those of you that know me, you will find this a shock. Sarah? Doing a trek??? hahahaha I know.. I am just picking myself up off the floor.
Perhaps I am still delusional from my return from Kenya. It was a whirlwind trip that's for sure. What this trip showed me was that the love I have for my Rafiki family is deep. There is not much I would not do for them..
*Elizabeth has a huge part of my heart and when I was there it reminded me again the massive need for this house of her own. She needs to have her own space with a foster Mum to look after her. This sweet girl needs to spend her future as comfortable as we can make it. She has suffered a living hell and this is the least that she deserves.
If this requires me to bust my arse to make it to this trek so be it.
Some of you may not know that I suffer from chronic pain from a bad car accident. This leaves me fatigued and full of pain each day. I have continued limited exercise since my full recovery due to my pain and fatigue and work load. I try to just get through each day and get my work done for Rafiki and take my pain killers to get through the day.
This trek will not be easy for me and I will work my hardest to push through and complete this, not just for *Elizabeth but for all of our children that have had to suffer and still continue to suffer.
I would love for you to sponsor my mission to do this trek! that is if you have stopped laughing (all my friends) and have picked yourself up off the floor. Any donation is so appreciated and it is 100% tax deductible in OZ!
